SUNDAYS

We meet every Sunday, 10.30am, at Catholic Cathedral College, 62 Ferry Road. We aim to finish around 12.15pm. We would love you to join us!

We meet as a church whanau to celebrate how awesome God is and meet with Him in a personal and powerful way!

Our times together include contemporary songs led by fantastic musicians, worship leaders and song writers to aid us as a church when we come to worship.  Our worship includes spontaneous prayer and opportunities to participate by sharing Scripture, prophecy and other spiritual gifts.  We regularly have Communion.

We often pray for healing for people who are not well and hear stories of those who have been healed.  This is a relaxed time and you should feel comfortable while you're with us - join in, or sit and listen - up to you.

Well, my brothers and sisters, let's summarise what I am saying. When you meet, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in an unknown language, while another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must be useful to all and build them up in the Lord. 1 Cor. 14:26

coffee3After the praise and worship, one of us will "do the news" and then we'll have morning tea. Following that the children go to their action packed, AWESOME groups.kids

Our children's groups provide an enjoyable and friendly environment in which children can develop friendships and grow in faith with other children their own age.   We are very aware of safety issues with children and are confident that we provide a happy and safe place for the children to be. Please ask for more information if you have any concerns.

While the children are in their activities, one of our leaders will share a message from the Bible.  These messages are recorded. Jesus was a great communicator. He spent a great deal of his time teaching the crowds and instructing the disciples.  When he commissioned his disciples it included the mandate to teach.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)mattpreach

At King’s we take teaching the Bible seriously. Hopefully that doesn’t mean that it’s without humour! It does mean that at our Sunday meetings teaching the Bible is central. Sometimes we teach verse by verse, going through a book of the Bible. At other times we pick up themes to teach from.

Stay and have a chat after the meeting if you can. We also have a Sunday lunch most weeks which will be announced at News time. You'd be welcome to go along and start to get connected into King's.
