King’s is a Christian church made up of people of all ages and all kinds of backgrounds. We are a big family. We love God. We follow the Bible. We care about people. 

 

We say that King’s is about three things:

 

 

The Shorter Westminster Catechism says, ‘The chief end of man is glorify God and enjoy him forever.’ We simply say, ‘Enjoying God.’ Christianity is not about religion or duty. It’s about God the Father who created us and loves us, who won us back into a relationship with himself through Jesus Christ and shares his life with us through the Holy Spirit. No-ones offers an easy life but knowing God is the most satisfying pursuit in the universe. 

 

 

Church is all about people. People the same as us. People different from us. People we like. People who are not easy to like. People who are Christians. People who are yet to make that decision. God loves all people. So do we.

 

 

Jesus’ command to the church is to Go! That means taking God’s love through our words and our works to neighbours, colleagues, family and those we have never met. Whether that's on our doorstep or in other countries, we are reaching nations.
